We Care

We Care meets the first Friday of each month at 12 noon in the churches’ fellowship hall.

We Care’s mission and purpose is to fill a void by offering Biblical spiritual encouragement for caregivers. Our aim is for every caregiver to feel loved, special, heard, understood, and accepted where they are as a person and caregiver.

We express our love and support to them through the meals and fellowship that we provide. The time is a short respite away from their normal activities to be refreshed and strengthened. Plus, we provide a meal that they do not have to prepare. The table is beautifully decorated to make them feel very special.

We believe that the caregiving role and responsibilities are a calling from God, Who will supply the strength and fortitude to complete their task. We encourage them to understand that the One who has called them to this new role is faithful and true.

The We Care Ministry was born in the heart of Douglas and Rebecca Collins by the call of the Lord in the year 2012, after they had cared for Rebecca’s mother for almost seven years in their home. Rebecca penned her experience in her book, Diary of a Mad Caregiver. The response of many caregivers who read the book, made us realize the great need for encouragement and support for caregivers to complete the unimaginably difficult job they had been called to do.
