WeCare Caregiver’s Ministry

We believe that the role of a caregiver is a calling from God, and it is He who will supply the strength and fortitude to complete the task. Through our WeCare ministry, our desire is to provide a space where caregivers can share their burdens with one another, be mutually encouraged by others going through similar circumstances in life, and be built up by the truths of God’s Word to understand that the One who has called them to this new role is faithful and true.

A Need For Encouragement

The WeCare Ministry was born in the heart of Douglas and Rebecca Collins by the call of the Lord in the year 2012, after they had cared for Rebecca’s mother for almost seven years in their home. Rebecca penned her experience in her book, Diary of a Mad Caregiver. The response of many caregivers who read the book, made us realize the great need for encouragement and support for caregivers to complete the unimaginably difficult job they had been called to do.

Meetings

WeCare meets on the first Friday of each month at noon in the church’s fellowship hall.

Each meeting is a time filled with love and support. This time serves as a brief respite from normal activities, allowing each caregiver to feel renewed and invigorated. A free meal is provided and served on thoughtfully decorated tables to create a welcoming and caring atmosphere.

Our Focus

Our aim is for every caregiver to feel loved, heard, understood, and cared-for through both trials and triumphs by offering biblical spiritual encouragement.
